Dr. Charles J. Alexander 

Dr. Charles J. Alexander has a national reputation as a health professions educator, diversity advocate, and higher education leader. He has administered and managed large budgets, played an important role in institutional advancement, strategic planning and policy development, and legislative advocacy on the state and national levels. He has even promoted and initiated diversity projects internationally. More important, he has a firm knowledge and understanding of the importance of inclusive excellence and its importance in advancing an organization.  He has been engaged in a number of fundraising initiatives from writing and serving as a principal investigator on million dollar grants to meeting with foundation heads and prospective donors who are interested in funding innovative academic programs and scholarships. Recognized as a leader by many organizations, he was presented with the Champions of Health Professions Diversity Award by The California Wellness Foundation for making substantial contributions to the diversity of California’s health professions. The Governor of California recently re-appointed him to a five year term to the Physician Assistant Board, Medical Board of California.

The Primary Consultant & Creative Director of Alexander & Associates Enterprises, LLC., is determined to excel.  La Trina has produced over countless special events, productions and several short films. While attending Community College in the Bay Area, the vision for entrepreneurship evolved and WOW! Productions now WOW! Media & Productions, began to unfold. Relying on the relationships made over years and knowledge gained from her time producing special events, La Trina got herself involved in a buffet of projects, to include fashion events, concerts, community based projects and assisting with independent film productions.  

In 2007, she Co-Founded the J4L Foundation, which promoted HIV/AIDS prevention methods to underrepresented youth attending  high schools in the San Francisco Bay Area,  the Juvenile Hall system, and individuals in foster care.  Officially, La Trina wore multiple hats as both Co-Founder and Youth Program Director of the J4L Foundation’s dual HIV/AIDS prevention programs; Youth United In Keeping The Promise (YUKP) and Hope For Our Youth (HFOY) National HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign. Her work and advocacy led to over 200 people being screened and tested which led to them living healthy and productive lives. In addition, over 60 at risk youth completed YUKP’s 12-week HIV/AIDS prevention program and are certified as HIV/AIDS Prevention Youth Ambassadors. 

In 2011, after earning her Associate Degree, in Liberal Arts from Chabot College in Hayward, CA, La Trina transferred to UCLA. She majored in African American Studies and earned a minor in Film, Television and Digital Media. She was also a Departmental Scholar, earning her B.A. and M.A. simultaneously. While a student at UCLA she served as the Chair of both the African American Studies Student Association (AASSA) and the African American Studies Commencement Committee (AASCC), was active in the UCLA Parenting Organization and STOMP (Student Transfer Opportunity Mentorship Program). She planned and hosted several UCLA Parenting Students Graduation Ceremonies.  La Trina graduated Magna Cum Laude in both her Undergraduate and Graduate programs in 2014. She was the executive producer and principal fundraiser for the African American Studies commencement ceremony. 

Currently, LaTrina is involved with promoting her passion of organic healing processes including CBD/Hemp/Cannabis lifestyles. This passion has allowed her to envision and develop a lifestyle line of organic CBD/Hemp/Cannabis accessories and specific services in which the cbd/hemp/cannabis can be utilized. She is very knowledgeable and an expert in California Medical Cannabis Business Regulations, and is a certified Bud Tender. She consults regularly with educators, entertainers, cbd/hemp/cannabis aficionados and entrepreneurs, and continues her work with mentoring, educating, volunteering and producing major entertainment performances and special events.
